Still missing it....

Ok the plan to watch Concert 3 didnt quite materialized. As it so happens, the whole sunday, I was stucked under the sun organizing games for kids during my company's carnival, which is like a mini version of sure heboh. There was a big turn-out which I think is mostly because we have some AF stars appearing.

Adam, Akma, Yazer, Idayu and Nana were there together with Alam of Wayang Kita. Their meet the fans session was a big hussle as the crowd tried to cut queues. Then when they got on stage, the crowd got so wild, especially for Adam. It never cease to amaze me how the buzz about previous AF stars are still alive and kicking here in Brunei. I'm sure people like Nana and Adam are really suprised on the warm reception they got lat sunday.

About 3 days before their arrival, I got a call offering to handle the welfare of Adam. But unfortunately, I had to turn it down becuase I have already commited myself to head the Kiddies Games corner of the Carnival. One thing I'm happy about was that, when Adam saw me last sunday, he face lights up, the way someone would look when seeing a long lost friend. When I finally had the chance to meet him and said my name, I was rather flattered. Its been almost
two years since I met Adam but still he remembers. I'm sure he has met hundreds and thousands of people since then but yet he knows my name still.

Anyways, we only had like a 20 seconds chat asking how are things and so on before he was ushered to the stage. Their performances includes Gadis Melayu (Adam, Yazer & Alam), that slow dangdut song by Akma, Idayu sang a Mariah Carey number, an Apa Ada Dengan Cinta soundtrack song by Nana, Idayu and Akma and a couple more songs. I didnt have time to see it all as I was busy preparing for the games. Managed to take some pics but none of them are really good, as you can see below...




Ok as for AF4, I only knew who left late in the evening via klubbkidds blog. I havent seen it so I wont say anything about it. So to make-up for it, I have already uploaded all the songs by Farhan & Velvet on my Multiply's AF4 group. You can play stream it if you have a fast connection or just download the songs to your pc. In due time, I'll try to upload all the songs as soon as possible.

First of all I would like to apologise for the lack of blogging/reviews from my behalf eversince AF4 started. It is not that I have no interest to do so but honestly I just couldnt find the time. Maybe you wont believe me if I said I havent even watch the prelude and the two previous concert in full, let alone the diaries! Yes its that bad, theres all sort of things popping-up and needs my utmost attention and committment. Honestly I can say, I dont even can name who is currently in the Akademi, except for a few faces, mostly girls *hehe*.

Well I confess that I do feel guilty for not being able to share with the loyal visitors to this blog about my views on the current season. But somehow, I also felt my absence wont be realised as I think this blog aint much as popular as SM's or Joe Klubbkidd's. But I guess my assumption was wrong, tonight I was suprised to receive an sms from Joe asking me why havent I been writing. So I replied back saying how busy I've and told him I will start probably after this coming concert. He replied back that I better do because AF4 is missing one Akademi Fantasia site. I so felt flattered reading that especially from someone who I see as one if the authoritative figure when it comes to AF blogging. He told me too how my radio blog is being missed.

I think that is all the encouragement I need to get things running again in here. I must warn though that it wont be so quick, I am gonna have to do this step by step. First I gotta do some homework on whos who in AF4 now and atleast catch some diaries. The radio blog will also take awhile to start. So do bare with me, I'll try to get in swing of things the soonest possible.

Before I end this entry, I think I should mention that I did manage to catch a bit of the 2nd (?) concert last Sunday afternoon. I saw Karen's performance and I thought she was pretty good. Her voice was crisp, pronounciation excellent and her feel was there. So when I found out she was the one to exit, I was very shocked! I guess as usual its not the voice or talent, its the lack of popularity or likeablity factor from the audience to her that matters. Somethings never change...
