I was watching the evening Diari, the bit when Krisdayanti made that kezutan, when I received an sms from my bestfriend. She said KD looks kinda weird, not as stunning as she used to. Probably that hair. I see her just fine really, absolutely HOT! So I wanna ask ya'll if you see any difference in her, is she looking better or not? Anyways, a lil side tracking there....
Well I guess those students are just damn lucky when KD made an appearance and even performed a song for them which they gladly sang along too. Amylea was paticularly the luckiest one having that one-to-one talk with KD. That could easily lift her spirits to perform even well. If she was to leave this week, which I really hope not, she'll be leaving with a lil sense of surreal satisfaction.
It did cross my mind, when KD said she is in town, if she was gonna be on one of the critics seat for concert 6, but she said she'll be around till the 8th only. Or was she asked to say that so that another kezutan will happen this saturday? Well I'm really hoping so.
Ok enough about KD, I wanna touch a bit about the currently most talked about issue of DICTION - which means Degree of clarity and distinctness of pronunciation in speech or singing; enunciation. AAH made a comment on yesterdays' Diari saying its not a big deal in response to Mawi's performance of Beautiful Maria. I personally think its an unfair comment. Diction, since the start of AF has always been highlighted by the tutors and the critics as an essential part of a performance, especially when singing a song not of your mother tongue. So I really dont understand why when it comes to Mawi, it seems that they seem to be willing to let it go(?).
Previously, people like Akma and Ekin were told to emphasize on their diction too. So I'm asking where was the defense for them back then? I guess maybe AAH did say something about it but was not shown in the Diari but I really doubt that. Its just silly if they are laying the rule for the rest but letting it slide for a particular person? Well whatever the case might be, I hope those tutors can really make their mind up and do their teachings fairly.
