First of all I must apologise for my absence, its the usual.... busy and all. The end of year was quite hectic but still all fun. A few days before this new year, I managed to catch up with Adam, Kaer & Farah. They were here for a private function and lucky for me I got to meet them.
29/12/04: I actually met them up at The Mall in Gadong. Adam, Kaer & Farah wanted to get some clothings. Adam in particular wanted some new shoes. So anyway, I think it was around 7:30 in the evening and I had to meet them in the vehicle(van) that they were using. I was given a walkie-talkie and was asked to take Adam shopping. The shop he wanted to go to is on the 3rd floor, so I know its gonna be a challenge just to take him up there. My fren was assigned to take Kaer and another was to take Farah. The idea is to split them up so not to create attention, which is really kinda silly because I'm sure no matter them AF2 stars go, they'll always be recognise right?
Anyway, it was glad to see them, even as I was approaching the vehicle they were already waving and when I finally open the door they greeted me like an old friend. It was kinda a touching moment for me as they actually still remember me! Its been months since I saw them so I'm very glad to see them again. Ok back to the shopping. So I was to lead Adam. As we enter the Mall and walked quite fast towards the escalator, everyone starts noticing Adam already. The look at first is of disbelieve and then a second later its all smiles and they start waving. Adam responded happily as usual and I bet some nearly fainted! Hehehe....
When we finally got to the shop, the sales girls were all excited! I guess they cant believe their luck. Slowly word goes around and a small crowd of people wa standing outside the shop. Some people starts approaching but I had to tell them to give Adam time to shop first, later we'll have some time to take pics & greet him. The shop was selling the usual Adams' "gear", baggy jeans pants, hip-hop t-shirts and some other budak-rapper stuff. Adam was all over going taking stuff to the dressing room. 5 minutes we were there and the crowds tripled. Lil kids and even babies was brought to meet Adam. And a few minutes later, Kaer, Encik Baha & my fren joined us. And obviously the crowd got even more excited. By this time, Adam had about a couple of pants & shirts on the counter.
Finally its all paid but before we could make our way out of the shop, Adam & Kaer had to stop for the fans. They couldnt stay long so we had to take them back to the van. Kaer going separate ways just so not to get the mob to concentrate on one person. Finally we got back to the van but Farah was not back yet. I guess usual right? Ladies takes a lil more time to shop! Hehehe.... I radioed my fren on where they were and then made my way to the shop they were at. Totally no one was there, since the shop is quite hidden. When done, we took the back lift as advised by the shop owner, so that we can avoid the crowd. We were spotted and Farah being the nice person she is, does stop for her fans.
Finally in the van, we make our way back to the empire. In the van we made a plan to go back and rest a bit at the hotel and then go out for drinks again. Various places were suggested but somehow they cant decide. Anyway, I followed back Adam & Kaer to their room and while they freshen up, I just relaxed and watch tv. 15mins later they are all done so we make our way to the lobby (Atrium) while my frens took the car which was parked in the basement. As we waited the Empire hotel staff asked Kaer & Adam if they would like to meet Gareth Gates, who happened to be just walking around the Atrium. He was there for the coming New Years celebration. So the boys said Hi and even took pictures (which I'll post soon).
Not long then our ride was ready, got in and made our way to Gadong again. We decided to just goto CoffeeZone and hoped that it wont be hectic there. We parked and then took our seat outside. A few minutes there and people starts noticing. Some just waved but some are bold to approach, say hi and take pics. I guess the guys had a really good time just chilling out there. I think we stayed for about 45mins. Kaer and Encik Baha left a lil bit early with my frens while Adam & I stayed back for a lil longer. We were joined by some of my frens also. Then a lil after 12, I had to drive back Adam to Empire. After seeing him off to his room, saying my good-byes to Kaer & Encik Baha, I left...with a big smile on my face!
Its one of those surreal moments again. One that surely makes 2004 a memorable year. Yes I'm demam all over again. And the next day I was of to Kota Kinabalu to celebrate 2005!

Greetings! This blog first came to life for my reviews and comments on Akademi Fantasia 2. It was more of a challenge to me as a way of developing my writing skills and basically also sharing ideas and thoughts with other fans. Alhamdulillah, the response has been good and I hope I will always be able to blog more on AF in the seasons to come.

The closest thing related to music is probably my 10++ years experience as a bedroom & mobile dj. What you read here is my personal opinion, my "pandangan mata kasar" and shouldn't be taken so seriously as I am sure before you visited this blog, you have formed your own opinion. If you are easily influenced, then I would suggest you get offline as you will read lots of conflicting comments / articles / writings on many things and it could just get messy in your head trying to understand them all. As a visitor I respect and welcome your comments, as long as the understanding is vice versa. Any ratings I gave are based on my own criteria of what is musically entertaining to myself, e.g. goosebumps factor, etc., etc. So disagree or laugh all you want if you find it silly. The ratings are not meant to discredit or hurt anyones feelings as I remind you again I'm NOT A PROFESSIONAL critic or whatever you wanna call it. So just please take it all as light reading and dont take it to heart especially if you are academicly qualified in the matter at hand.
