I'm sure everyone has their very own idea of how the voting should be done for AF. I personally think that the way the voting is done now should be improved, so that the procedure is fair. Also to eliminate those pity votes for undeserving students and let those with talent and determination stay in the game. Below are my suggestions and after reading them, I would like you to share or suggest a voting technique that you think will help AF be more fun and fair.
First suggestion is to introduce one more voting options. The current AFUNIDI will still be maintained but another option AFUNDIX should also be available. So not only people will have the option to vote for their favourite students, they will also be able to vote out students that they think should not proceed in the Akademi. This AFUNDIX vote will however be available only during the times when the daily Diari is shown on tv. I know this AFUNDIX option is will somehow turn out to be used as a hate vote, that I think would be up to the voters to consider the right way to use it. The objective is however that at the end of every concert, each students AFUNDI vote will be deducted by the AFUNDIX vote that they have received for the past 5 days before the concert. This should make the results more unpredictable but also this is a good way of letting people to either vote for someone to stay or leave the Akademi. The only downside to this is that voters will have to spend more to vote and ofcourse Astro will be laughing all the way to the bank. *hehe* But remember, as they said before, the proceedings from the votes will be used as a scholarship for the students as they leave the Akademi for furthur nuturing their talent. I think to make this dual voting system be even more interesting, the voting rates should be reduced to encourage its usage.
The other suggestion I have is to apply a point system for the students during the 5 days they spend in the Akademi. Points will be awarded by the tutors rating the students on every espect of their learning schedules - drama/vocal/dance classes and overall behaviour. I think this will make the students to be more serious in their classes. Again the points will be applied as the above way i.e. deducting/adding the point system into the votes that is received during the concert. Its a fair grading system, no more different than the ones done at any school. I still prefer that AFUNDIX way though. Oh also I think theres been numerous suggestions about having a professional jury which is a totally a different cast from the usual critics. This set of professional jury should be permanent throughout the entire season. Thier scoring system will again be compared to the votes that came in for each student. Again, this is no guarentee that all the unfair "penyingkiran" of students will not happen. No matter what system introduced, the viewers will and should have the power to decide, otherwise its not so much of a "reality' tv.
