MAS isolated?

Is it just me or has anyone noticed lately clips of MAS practising her assigned songs for this coming saturday has not been shown in the daily Diari? Is she getting no singing lessons anymore? I did remember that part Ramli MS being so pissed that he told MAS that she dont need to come to anymore classes, wont be given any coaching and to just practise on her own, was it because of that? It seems also that she is not given any lines to sing for the bonus songs. Kinda harsh huh? I suddenly had the feeling of pity for her if this isolation is really true. But not pity enough to start voting for her though.

Maybe this is like a test for her. The Akademi probably wants to see if she can cope with this pressure and be more determined to rise to the occassion. She does look gloom for the past few days, seems unhappy and unconfident. She seems not attached to the group no more as I can see when they practising that VE song just now. Shes like a back-up dancer, just doing her moves and not singing along. Its so worrying that this plan or isolation might backfired. This easily could enrage her fans and gave them more motivation to vote aggresively. They would see this as an unfair treatment and like a deliberate action to kick MAS out of the Akademi.

I had a chance to visit the official AF forum where MASs' fans are really heating things up by saying that she is whats keeping AF2 alive and that eventually she will be the winner! They were all so bullish in their comments and almost challenging anyone to come up with a better answer. I browsed for less than 5 mins and then left as I find their reasonings uncomprehenable and just plain silly. Now I think I have a good idea of which demographics her fans belong to, which I will keep reserved to myself as not to incite any stereotyping agenda.

Ok moving along to the other students practising their songs fo the coming 8th concert. Normally I would reserve this for my Saturday afternoon pre-concert evaluation but I have a feeling I will be busy so I might as well do it now.

LINDA 16% - Needs to bring more softness to her tones. The song is not such a big challenge as long she keeps her tempo and again more lady-likeness to the melody. Last week she was 2nd last, will we see her out this week by "deaf" voters?

ZAHID 15% - Seems to be coping well with Semusim but at times it seems he will burst a note. In the background we can see KAER coaching him with the improv. But knowing ZAHID, he will somehow know how to come up with a good performance. He must put some r'n'b elements to his tones to capture the dreamy melody of that song.

KAER 14% - Clearly not comfortable with the song eventhough he said he liked it. He seems more in-tune with the dance moves, almost graceful. The song has some parts that needs for him to be creative and not make it too r'n'b. KAER undeniably has a good voice so it'll be interesting to hear/see how he would approach this song.

MAS 14% - What can I say? Even after watching the repeat of the midday Diari, theres no clip of her being given tutoring for her songs or dance steps for the next concert. Is this done in purpose? Is she actually getting coaching off camera? Is this on purpose to create curiosity and interest to what seems lately a mundane concert atmosphere? Whatever it is I hope it will go as plan and not create more tension.

FARAH 14% - She needs to control her voice range. Gotta try to make her high notes so domineering over her lows. Theres no doubt she can handle the song but is it good enough to keep her in the Akademi? Sad to say FARAH seems to be most llikely victim for this week. Will her talent be wasted?

ADAM 14% - Not a song that he is in favour with it seems. He cant seem to be serious with the song probably he thinks its an easy song after all the songs that he has been assigned with. Even the dance moves seems so hard for him to follow. This from someone who just performed Smooth Criminal last week? ADAM seems to be slowly rolling into my list of possible victims this week. Its gonna be tragic I know.

BOB 14% - I can see determination in his eyes. Well actually not his eyes because he was closing them just now while practising his song. I think Alhamdulillah will require a lot of concentration inorder to remember the long lyrics and keep in tempo. I bet even Too Phat while recording it in the studio has the whole lyrics infront of them. Having to memorize and perform it in less than a week is tough.

Ok time for me to list the possible victims if MAS is not the one voted out. Its FARAH, ADAM or LINDA. Yes you read right, LINDA is on my list. It seems likely if last week is to be referred too. BOB & KAER would have been on my list too but it seems their situation is quite stable. I'll stop here for now but I hope they'll be some good things to write about before the concert. Cyas!
